Please accept my family’s heartfelt condolences on the loss of your dear loved one, Mr. Layton. May you find comfort in fond memories of him, and hope in God’s promise to restore those asleep in death to perfect life on a paradise Earth, fulfilling his original purpose for humans.

As stated by others, Coz was the person to go to for answers on MOCAS.  He was a great resource.  In addition, he was a great person, friend and family man. A good example of how to lead one's life.  Thoughts and prayers for Karen and family and friends. Hope we all remember the good moments we had with him. And can't forget his love for the Buckeyes and Reds (Bengals too?). I  played a part in hiring Dwight at DSAO. It was certainly one of my best hiring decisions of my career. I have many great memories of working with him down thru the years in MOCAS. He was an excellent worker and always considered him a friend in addition to being a co-worker. My prayers and sympathy go out to Karen and the rest of the family.

I started working in MOCAS with Dwight around 1980, his knowledge of our work was so vast he was known as Mr. MOCAS,  but it was his personality that shined.  He was always kind, pleasant, and had a smile for everyone.  I will always remember my first business trip when working in Atlanta, that was when I got to meet Karen and Lori.  It was a working trip but lots of fun and having these wonderful people to spend time with was such a joy.  Karen my sincerest condolences go out to you and your family, I will keep you all in my prayers and hope that your wonderful memories with Dwight will bring you all comfort.

I had the great pleasure of working and knowing Dwight fo nearly forty years.  We made many TDY trips together to cities all over the U.S.  We had many great meals I the cities we visited.  His knowledge of MOCAS was beyond reproach.  I nick named him "The COSMIC DOSMIC for  being the DSAC ON Site Man In Charge. He was the best and I will never forget him. RIP COZ.

Dwight and I started  working for data systems automation center on the same day. We were interviewed and hired by division chief John (Jack) Tapee. However, we were assigned to a division chief who I think was named Wheeler.Dwight and I cleared personnel, and arrived at DSAC ready to go to work. However, when Mr Wheeler arrived he told us :I did not hire you, I do not want you. I am going to personnel to get rid of you. When he returned an hour later he was mad because he was told he had to keep us. What a way to start a career.
I will carry fond memories of COZ  all of my life.

I met Dwight in 1975 when I first started work with DSAC.  When I think of my career with DoD he is the first person I always think of - Mr. MOCAS.  I will always remember our bus trips to Cincy, bowling, golf and even an occasional beer.

A true friend who loved his family and will be greatly missed.
