Edward S. Amos

Edward S. Amos, D.D.S., of Upper Arlington, July 30, 1949 – January 21, 2012. After a courageous battle with cancer, Ed passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. Ed was born and raised in Scio, Ohio and graduated from Scio High School. In 1981, he graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and practiced dentistry until a few months prior to his death. Ed was one of four children born to Abbie (Shumaker) Amos and the late Robert W. Amos of Scio, OH. Ed will forever be remembered by his wife Carol, beloved children Matt (Lauren) of Cincinnati and Elliott of Columbus; devoted brothers R. Clark (Carol) of Ladue, MO and Marsh of Scio; loving sister Abbie of Upper Arlington, caring nieces and nephews Russell (Jenny) Golowin and Bradley Golowin of Upper Arlington; Ashley (John) Clennan of Hinsdale, IL, and Preston (Mayo) of St. Louis, MO; and his Uncle Edward David Shumaker, Jr. of Scio, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. Ed loved laughing, having fun with friends and family, meeting new people everywhere he went, and helping others. Ed touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, maintained his sense of humor, and always put others before himself. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at 6 P.M. Monday, January 23, 2012 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd. where family will receive friends from 4 P.M. until time of service.
