Elenore Anne Benton, age 80, died December 26, 2009. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 1, 1929 to John and Mary Benning Dengel. Elenore had the ability to see the funny side of everything. She touched many lives making quilts and donating them to elderly in wheelchairs. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Clark Benton, and sister Betty McMannis. Elenore is survived by her son, William (Menna) Benton of Wales; brother, John (Teeny) Dengel of Virginia; sister, Joanne (Wayne) Greenlee of Columbus; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Family will receive friends from 4-7 pm on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. A graveside service will be held at 10 am Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Green Lawn Cemetery in the New Garden Mausoleum, 100 yards on the left.
