Elizabeth was a graduate of the June, 1961 graduating class of Columbus’ West High School, as was I.  I didn’t know Liz well while we were in school; however, several years after graduating I became active in the West High Alumni Association where I heard her name frequently and learned of her dedicated service on the Concessions Sales Committee.  She was a valued reliable and loyal participant among those who worked at the West Ball Games to bring funds into the Alumni treasury for noble and charitable causes like, for instance, the Scholarship Fund for new graduating seniors who want to attend college each year.

Many of our Class of 1961 classmates will recognize Elizabeth’s name and join me in sending genuine condolences to her family.  My most sincere sympathies to all of you who shared so much with someone who gave back to all of you in loving ways and generously spread her devotions to you as she has also done with her Alma Mater.

Liz was a wonderful human being who became an important member of the steering committee of the Franklin County for Good Government.  She was dedicated to preserving democracy and the vote as all of us were when we spent time putting on forums across the county.  Besides that, she was personably, generous with time and spirit and just an all around great human being who will be missed by many people.  May her memory be a blessing to her loved ones and to all of us who came to respect and love her as well.

My Aunt Liz was a strong, independent woman who I admired.  Although stubborn at times (well....most of the time), her heart was always in the right place and she gave her time throughout her life volunteering in several venues to enrich the lives of others.  My fondest memories include seeing her at Clippers games where she worked the concession stand - I was so proud to know someone "so important"; and spending Wednesday evenings at her house with Jennie, my brother, and the dogs eating popcorn and making LT howl with us at the picture window. She was a traveler and I enjoyed listening to her stories about all the places she had been.  What a great life to have had!  I will miss her.

Liz will certainly be missed.  Saw her every Thursday at the Upper Arlington Senior Center sometimes to talk and sometimes just to say hello.  Also talked with her at the West High Reunion Picnic a couple of weeks ago.  She was always smiling.  James Graham and Criss Molasso Graham  (Jim and Criss to Liz).

When I decided to take over the football and basketball concessions at West for the Alumni Association at West, Liz was invaluable. She had experience helping with concessions at both Briggs H. S. and the Columbus Clippers. I relied on her knowledge and help at the West games. I always knew I could depend on Liz! Through the concessions we became good friends. I will miss her greatly. I last talked with Liz at the Alumni picnic just a couple of weeks ago. Little did I know it would be our last conversation. 
My condolences to Jenny and her other family. While I know her passing was sudden, I know memories of her will stay with you forever.
