

Elizabeth M. Queen, age 93 of Upper Arlington, passed away December 24, 2016. Elizabeth was born in Akron, Ohio, daughter of the late Russell and Carmella Tarzia. Also preceded in death by her brother, Frank Tarzia and sister, Mary DiBella. Elizabeth was the true matriarch of her family, always putting them first. She was a caring, nurturing, and gentle woman who especially enjoyed holidays and family traditions. She loved and cherished her husband Bill and always played an active role in the lives of her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 66 years, William Queen; children, Russell (Molly) Queen, Barbara (Richard) Gerber, and Amelia (John) Shannon; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and other extended family members and dear friends. Memorial service will be held at 1 P.M. Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where family will receive friends from 12 P.M. until time of service Tuesday. Following service, inurnment will be at Kingwood Memorial Park.
