Eloise Claiborne Keefe, 90, of Columbus, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 27, 2011. She was born March 20, 1921 in Ansted, WV to the late Lee and Eva (Neal) Claiborne. She was a graduate of Virginia Tech and retired after twenty seven years as Head of the Dietary Department at Grant Hospital. She was a longtime member of the Dietetic Association. She gave a loving home to rescued Golden Retrievers, collected antiques, hat pins and her special favorite, cookbooks. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard T. Keefe II. She is survived by children Eva Anne and Terry, grandchildren Stephanie Jane, Clare (Mauro) and Jack. Private services will be observed at Kingwood Memorial Park by the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Golden Retriever Rescue of Columbus, 1427 Roxbury Rd.
