I remember how she made me laugh when I was down and out. How she used to always talk to me when I needed someone to talk to what ever I needed someone to talk to. She used to cuddle with me and make me happy after I had a bad day. I will always remember her great smile and wonderful personality. I will miss all the good times we had spent and how wonderful of a grandmother she was to me.

I loved to hear Elsie tell stories about her various adventures, she did not let her age slow her down. Her story is an inspiration for all of us who are afraid to take that adventurous step of faith. Earth has lost a fantastic women and Heaven has welcomed an adventurous Angel.

Elsie you were my younger sister and as kids we sure had a lot of differences.  We loved each other and enjoyed our long phone conversations.  You were a wonderful loving, giving person,  I will miss you terribly, but I know I will see you soon.

In my early years, my mother may have perceived me as someone put on the earth to challenge her faith as well as her patience. I was quite a rebel and frequently challenged her authority. We knew how to bring out the "best" in each other! But having to get to know my mom as an adult and see her great faith and her massive incomparable giving spirit, the stamp of her life on mine is a blessing that cannot be measured. She was a woman who loved Jesus with everything in her being and lived for every opportunity to share that love with others, whether verbally or by making aphgans for them or necklaces or whatever God led her to give away. She wanted little for herself. Her joy was in giving away whether that was her faith or things or her time. You were always important to her and she impacted the lives of so many people, including the life of this young (not so young now, of course) rebel. My mom is in heaven now with a long line of people welcoming her to party central, celebrating the presence of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! I will miss you greatly, mom, but am so thankful for the legacy you left us and the care and time you invested in us. We will carry that torch in your memory and in honor and praise of the Christ whom you know and serve! With love, admiration, and the highest esteem

I am so sorry for your loss and will be praying for your family. She was loved by many and loved her family. She was so proud of her daughter, Cher. Whenever I would visit, she would go on and on about how proud she was and how you are such a good mom. 
Please know that she will always love you and that nothing can change that.

It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.

Ms Elsie, you were a wonderful caring woman, your laughter will be sadly missed alone with your never ending smile. Many thanks for my prayer blanket that is always a remembrance for me to not only pray for you and your generous heart, but for family, friends and anyone else that would be needing our Lords attention. Again, you will be sadly missed but yet again will see each other again one day. My prayers are with the Thompson family for the loss of a dear mom, grandmom, and friend.
