Emma Jean Reed

Emma Jean Reed, age 73, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010. She was born on Arnold’s Creek near West Union, West Virginia on January 19, 1937 to the late Leeman and Florida Gain. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Reed; and siblings, William “Bobby” Gain, Guendolyn Meredith, and Ora Lee Deem. Survivors include her children, Gerald Reed, Mark (Leslie) Reed, Neil (Bonnie) Reed, Bradford Reed, and Douglas Reed; grandchildren, Michelle, Christopher, Rachel, Caitlyn, and Holly; siblings, Teddy (Linda) Gain, Maxine Reed, Josephine Jett, and Nancy (Alfred) Wilson; and many nieces and nephews. She was a longtime member of the Worldwide Church of God. Emma enjoyed gardening and being outdoors; most of all she enjoyed spending time with her five wonderful grandchildren. Family and friends may call Sunday, July 11, 2010 from 2:00PM-5:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER-NORRIS CHAPEL 3920 Broadway Grove City where the funeral service will be held Monday, July 12, 2010 at 10:00AM.
