Eric M. Clark

Eric M. Clark, age 40 of Circleville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at SummersvilleMemorialHospital in Summersville, West Virginia. Eric was born April 15, 1969 in Circleville, the son of Michael E. and Carolyn (Smith) Clark, of Circleville. He was a graduate of CirclevilleHigh School, class of 1987. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Tri-State University, Angola, Indiana where he was a member of The Delta Chi Fraternity. Eric was a Trustee, Deacon, and Elder of The Presbyterian Church; member and Past President of Circleville Elks Lodge #77; served on the United Way Board, P3 Board, Youth Baseball Board, Circleville Youth Football Board, Historical Review Board, and the Pumpkin Show Board; past member of the Sunrise Rotary Club of Circleville. Eric received his PE,PS designation and owned and operated Michael E. Clark and Associates along with his father.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Howard and May Clark. He is survived by his parents; wife Tami (Harkcom) Clark; children Mac, Maddy and Michael Clark, all of the home; brother Charles (Stephanie) Clark of Pickerington; sister Emily (Al) Kershaw of Circleville; aunt Lou Ann Clark of Circleville; nieces and nephews Brayden Kershaw, Graham, Grace and Olivia Clark, Myha and Logan Harkcom; many, many friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m.Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at The Presbyterian Church, 134 E. Mound St., Circleville with Rev. William M. Campbell officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday with an Elks service at 8:00 p.m. at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 151 E. Main St., Circleville.

In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions to the Eric Clark Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o the funeral home.
