Eric was born on Nov. 11, 1990. He is survived by his loving parents Pamela and Mark Zabell. He was loved by his younger brother Ryan. He was the proud grandson of Harry and Helen Derderian and Warren and Dixie Zabell. He was loved by his Uncle Grant and Aunt Arlene and his cousins Alex and Kevin. Eric graduated with honors from Dublin Scioto High School and went on to The Ohio State University where he graduated from the Fisher Business School with a Bachelor of Business in Information Technology and Management Information Systems.
Upon graduating from college, Eric's first job was with Epic Systems in Madison, WI where he won awards as a Client Systems Manager. He travelled the U.S. consulting with hospital systems which had purchased Epic's world renown administrative software. Clients of his would often say when challenged in their implementation of the software "What would Eric do." He left Epic to be closer to family in Columbus and joined Nationwide Insurance as a software developer.
Like many of his generation, he was a technology enthusiast with an insatiable desire to work with and grow from others who shared his passion for transformative information systems. He was an efficient problem solver and strove for harmony when collaborating with others.
Eric's passions were playing his drums and listening to music. In high school, he developed a web site-Beyond the Noise which reviewed and critiqued current rock and roll and rap cd's prior to their release. He loved to travel with his Mom and Dad. He especially loved visiting New York City with his Dad and enjoying the epicurean delights of that city.
He was loved by all and will be missed by family and friends.
