Esther Lorna Schwind

Esther Norry Schwind, 95, passed peacefully on February 10, 2016 at Kobacker House, Columbus, Ohio. Esther is survived by her children: Gail Homick Herrling (Leo), Auburn NY, Pamela Allen (Jack), Alexandria VA, Michael K. Schwind (Bridgette) Dublin OH, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Vera Norry and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Clayton (Corky) Schwind; parents Phillip and Ann Zoske Norry; brother, Gerald Norry; and sister, Arlene Norry Rauber. A celebration of Esther's life will be on April 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., at Advent Lutheran Church, 3660 Kenny Road. Columbus, OH. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service. A spring internment will be in Irondequoit, NY. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to a charity of your choice in Esther's memory. The family would like to express their gratitude to Esther's caregiver, Lafayette McCullough, the staffs of Avia Senior Living and Kobacker House for their kindness and caring to her, and to the friends and drivers from the Advent Lutheran Church congregation.
