

Dr. Francis E. Moore, age 86, of Friendship Village, Dublin, OH, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. He was born in Centerville, OH to the late S. Lloyd and Lettie I. (Scatterday) Moore on January 16, 1927. Francis was a loving husband, father, and brother who enjoyed singing, woodworking, sculpting, gardening, golfing, and was an avid Buckeye fan. He was an Army veteran serving on Okinawa. He received his Doctorate from The Ohio State University and in the latter part of his career retired from Mount Carmel West Hospital after 32 years of service. He was a Certified Diplomate of The American Board of Anesthesiology. He was also a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Anesthesiologists, Ohio State Medical Association, Ohio Society of Anesthesiologists, and Covenant Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, Francis was preceded in death by his siblings Vivian (Moore) Wynn, Edith (Moore) Gustaferro, and Howard Moore. He is survived by his loving wife, Jane Moore; children, Carol (Bill) Henderson, Neil Moore, Janeen (Jeff) Jones, Linda (Bruce) Lipsitt; grandchildren, Kristen and Maureen Henderson, Alexandria, Katherine, and Keely Moore, Corey and Kyle Jones, Olivia and Nicholas Lipsitt; brothers, Warner Moore and Duane Moore. Funeral service will be held at 10am at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2070 Ridgecliff Rd., Columbus, OH 43221 with Dr. Tracy Keenan officiating followed by interment at Union Cemetery.
