

Franklin Clayton McCaw passed away January 9, 2016 at Sunrise Retirement Center in Worthington, Ohio. Born January 1, 1924. Preceded in death by wife Mary Josephine (Horst) McCaw, they were married for 67 years. Parents Clayton and Mildred McCaw. Daughter Cynthia Ruth McCaw, age 8, in October 1963. Sister Elizabeth Johannaber and brother Herbert McCaw. US Army veteran of World War 2 in the European theater. Graduate of Ohio State University, Masters degree in Elementary Education. Retired school principal for Columbus Public Schools. He was a longtime member of Northwest Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Frank is survived by his four sons, Steven (Paula), Kenneth (Kim), Glenn (Becky), Brian (Holly). Ten grandchildren, Heather (Mike) Kerley, Matt (Lindsey) McCaw, Kasey (Gabe) Schicks, Kristina (Jared) Thomas, Allie McCaw, Zach (Molly) McCaw, Cody, Gabriel, Rachel (Jared Sroufe, Fiancée) and Reagan McCaw. Great grandchildren, Jordan and Virginia Schicks. Brother John McCaw. A private graveside service, for immediate family only, will be held at a time to be determined.
