Fred Rutherford

Fred Rutherford, age 83, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014. He was born August 13, 1931 to the late Charles and Mary (Chadwick) Rutherford and is also preceded in death by his daughters, Sandra Galik and Beverlee May. Fred had many interests and talents that included bowling, coaching Little League Baseball and Football, He was a member of St Matthew Church and was involved in the Charitable Works of the Church. Fred is survived by his wife, Sue Rutherford; son, Mike Rutherford; grandchildren, Geoff (Heather) Richmond, Deanna May, and Kelly May; and great-grandchildren, Braden and Bailey. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a .m. Monday, August 25 at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corners Rd. Father Ryan Schmit, Celebrant. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. Interment Mifflin Township Cemetery.
