Frederick Junior Coen, age 75 of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023. Fred was born in Athens, Ohio and grew up in Columbus, son of the late Frederick W. and Gladys (Metcalf) Coen. Also preceded in death by his sister, Donna Coen, and brother-in-law, Russel Thacker. Fred graduated from South High School, Class of 1965 and attended Columbus State University. He was a longtime dedicated over the road truck driver and retired from Roadway where he was a member of the distinguished “Million Mile Club”. He will be deeply missed by his sister, Sharon Thacker; brother, Charles Coen; nieces and nephews, Charles (Cathy) Stroupe, Georgianna Stroupe, Robert Thacker, Tina Bowe, and Margie White; and many great nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery.
