Freida L. Shafer, age 86, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2011. She was born in North Dakota on August 23, 1924. Freida worked in many roles at St. Rita’s Nursing Home and retired after 35 years of service. She enjoyed watching old movies and working crossword puzzles. She is now reunited with her husband, Jack Shafer, who preceded her in death 13 years ago. She is survived by her children, John (Julie) Shafer, and Micki (Phil) Campisi; and grandchildren, Ryan (Jessica), Megan, Jack, Kody Shafer, and Tim, Dan, Sean, and Kerry Mentel.
