

Gail S. Magley, age 64, of Edmond, OK passed away on December 13, 2015. Gail was born June 4, 1951 in Zanesville, OH, the oldest of 4 children born to the late Marilyn Myers Owens and Gordon Owens. She graduated from Reynoldsburg High School in 1969, earned her Bachelor's Degree from The Ohio State University and her Master's Degree from the University of Houston. Gail worked as a speech pathologist at the Columbus Speech and Hearing Center in Columbus, Ohio; Webster Intermediate School and the Aldine Independent School District in Houston, Texas; and the Crooked Oak Public Schools in Oklahoma City. She had many interests, including sewing, ceramics, stained glass art and candle making. She was an avid reader and enjoyed helping her children with various sports, school, community and church activities. Gail was an active member of North Community Lutheran Church in Columbus, Ohio; Lord of Life Lutheran Church in The Woodlands, Texas; and Peace Lutheran Church in Edmond, Oklahoma. She and her husband Herb were married at Christ Lutheran Church on January 30, 1971 and have three wonderful children. Gail is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, Herb Magley, Edmond, OK; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Kristen Magley, Edmond, OK; son, Travis Magley, Windsor, CA; daughter, Bethany Magley, Austin, TX; grandson, Jackson Magley, Edmond, OK; sister and brother-in-law Karen and George Blocker, Mt. Vernon, OH; brother and sister-in-law Greg and Judy Owens, Warsaw, OH; brother Scott Owens, Logan, OH; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Beverly and Jim Seitz, Reynoldsburg, OH and Philip and Karen Magley, Great Falls, VA. In lieu of flowers, Gail requested contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Central Ohio and sent to Columbus Walk to End Alzheimer's; 1379 Dublin Rd; Columbus, OH 43215. Gail's memorial service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232 where family will welcome friends beginning at 1pm; Inurnment will follow in Kirkersville Cemetery; Pastor Tom Wolfe, officiating. Friends and family are welcome to attend a reception from 4pm-7pm on December 22, 2015 at the Embassy Suites, 2886 Airport Dr., Columbus, OH 43219.
