Gary Anthony Perez, age 35, of Columbus, died unexpectedly on April 8, 2018. He was born September 12, 1982 in Columbus. Gary attended Groveport Schools. He was an avid BMX racer and loved his Buckeyes and Steelers. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth Hoffman; father, Charles Scott; step-mother, Marcella Scott; and Uncle, Ron Dreyfus. He is survived by his mother, Cheryl A. Perez; daughter, Alexandra Perez; brothers, Michael, Robert, and William Perez; sisters, Nancy Perez, Stephanie Scott and Amanda Jo Oxier; sister-in-law, Mary Perez; nieces and nephews; Breonna Haverfield; Selena Perez, Steven Michael Perez, Rico Perez, Marissa Machio, Ryan Perez, Brydon Perez, Davin Butcher, and Arianna Scott. Gary’s family is sincerely grateful for the support of his AA Family, Healing Hearts, and House of Hope. A visitation will be held from 1-3pm Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Heart and Hope Funeral Home by Schoedinger, 3030 West Broad Street, where a funeral service will be held at 3pm Wednesday.
