

George Edwin Waldron, age 96, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 6, 2012. He was born November 15, 1916 in McArthur, Ohio to the late Shirley & Sophia (Nickels) Waldron. George was a member of Grove City United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a proud WWII Navy veteran where he served aboard the USS Wichita. One of his favorite things to do was watch NASCAR. He was an annual participant of Grove City Senior Center go kart racing at Malibu Racetrack. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Charity Mae (Climer) Waldron; brother, Shirley Waldron Jr.; sister, Maggie Waldron; and step-daughter, Myrna Daugherty. He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Schneider) Waldron; son, Gary (Penny) Waldron; step-daughter, Brenda Morris; grandchildren, Jennifer (Dan) Florence, Brad Waldron (Tracy and Blake Reynolds); great-grandchildren, Nattalie Florence and Emily Florence; special friend, Jim Keckley; and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Sunday, December 9, 2012 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL 3920 Broadway Grove City where the funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Monday with Rev. Tom Wilson officiating. Interment 2:30 PM Londonderry Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at the Blanton House, Grove City, for their wonderful care that they provided.
