

Georgia Spicer Sturges, age 88, formerly of Cleveland, Ohio passed away March 19, 2012 at Wesley Ridge Retirement Community in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. She was born July 7, 1923 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, attended Monmouth College in Illinois, where she was very active in Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and earned her bachelor’s degree from Columbia University. She lived most of her adult life in Cleveland, where she worked as a copywriter prior to marrying and raising a family. Georgia was a faithful Christian servant both in the churches she attended and on the Young Life Cleveland committee. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Delnora Spicer; husband, John P. Sturges, Jr. and son, Samuel S. Sturges. She is survived by her daughter, Anita S. Williams and beloved grandchildren, Benjamin and Maria Williams. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Bay Presbyterian Church, 25415 Lake Road, Bay Village, Ohio. Private family interment in Mansfield Cemetery.
