

Glenn P. Ross, age 86, of Upper Arlington passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 19, 2010. Glenn was born and raised on the South side of Columbus, the son of the late Gus and Alma Ross. He is preceded in death by his son, Kenneth; and brothers, Donald and Robert Ross. Glenn is a 1941 graduate of South High School, received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ohio State, and served his country in WWII with the U.S. Army Engineers. Glenn had a distinguished career in public service as an investigator for over 50 years with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management and the FBI. Glenn enjoyed bridge, music, classic movies, his bountiful tomato gardens, baking his famous “Papa Bread,” and was an avid Buckeye fan. His children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were his most prized joys. Glenn will be remembered most for his theatrical sense of humor, his open arms, a gentle spirit, and his generosity. Glenn is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Barbara (Link); children, Judy Blum, Randall (Gail Mezey) Ross and Ronald (Dushka) Ross all of Upper Arlington; grandchildren, Christian, Laurel, Emma, Audrey, Miranda and Katherine; four great grandchildren; sisters Dolores Milton and Hazel Preidis of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 2, 2011 at 4pm at Advent Lutheran Church, 3660 Kenny Road, Columbus, Ohio 43220, Pastor William Saunders officiating.
