Harold Kenneth "Kenny" Sunker

Harold Kenneth "Kenny" Sunker, age 88, passed away at his home in Reynoldsburg on Thursday, February 27, 2020. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 23, 1931 to the late Harold Perle Sunker and Edna Minnie Mae (nee Metzger) Sunker. Kenny graduated from South High School and attended Capital University. He retired from the Columbus Dispatch as District Manager. He received multiple bowling awards and the Columbus Dispatch Directors Award. Kenny was a member of Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church and Redeemer UMC Smart Team (ramp building for the disabled). He also enjoyed flower gardening. Kenny was a loving and caring father and husband. He is survived by his sons, Douglas Harold Sunker and Charles Henry Sunker; grandchildren, Michelle Lynn Sunker, Douglas Michael Sunker, Jessica Ann Sunker, and Maggie Brown; great- grandchildren, Angelina Nicole Sunker, Lucas Michael Sunker and Charles Kenneth Sands; nieces, Heidi (Gary) Ross, Kristin (Paul) Stoehr; cousins, Susan Drewes, Barbara Bockbrader, Peggy King and various other relatives. In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Ann (Burton) Sunker; son, Steven Kenneth Sunker and sister, Ruth Bardsley. Family will receive friends 6-8 pm Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Funeral service will be held 12:30 pm Friday, March 6, 2020 at Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church, 1636 Graham Rd. Pastor Jeff Greenway officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
