

Henry A. Bell, Jr. age 69, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2010 at his home. He graduated from Columbus Academy and The Ohio State University where he was a member of The Sigma Pi Fraternity. He was also a member of The Sigma Pi Columbus Alumni Club, The Franklin County Chapter of the Ohio Society of Professional Engineers and a lifetime member of the National Management Club. Henry was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Henry enjoyed traveling around the world visiting many places. Henry was a member of the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club, where he was a boating enthusiast and enjoyed competitive sailing. He also enjoyed classical music, the symphony and many other art events in the Columbus area. Henry retired as Superintendent of the Division of Electric for the City of Columbus after 39 years and was the Chairman of the Board for AMP Ohio for 8 years. He is survived by loving life partner of 45 years, Alan Daulton; sister and brother-in-law, Hope Ann and Tom Smith of Chicago, IL; nephew and nieces, Tommy, Patti and Jennifer; along with numerous friends. Friends and family will be received Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Schoedinger Midtown Chapel, 229 E. State Street, Columbus and from 10-11 AM, Thursday at First Congregational Church. A service celebrating the life of Henry, will be held 11 AM, Thursday, June 3, 2010 at First Congregational Church, 444 E. Broad Street. Pastor Timothy C. Ahrens officiating. Interment to follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Congregational Church, 444 E. Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43215 in his name.
