Ila I. Baum, age 74, of Columbus, died September 27, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was an excellent cook and loved to garden, sew, and hunt for bargains. She also enjoyed playing cards and “yard saling”. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Rachel Lucas, and son-in-law, Jerry Marcum. She is survived by her children, Michael (Lisa) Chitwood, Jane (Rick) Powell, “Dee” Marcum, Robert (Heidi) Baum; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister, Delores Ferguson; brother, Robert (Bonnie) Lucas; special friend, Mary Lou Green; other relatives and friends. Friends will be received from 4 – 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Schoedinger Linden Memorial Chapel, 2741 Cleveland Avenue, where a funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2013; interment will follow in Plumwood Cemetery, Plumwood, Ohio.
