Irene F. Kelly

Irene F. Kelly, 83 of Gahanna, died Sunday March 18, 2012 at Emeritus Assisted Living in Gahanna after a short illness. She was born June 8, 1928 in Sewell, West Virginia, the daughter of Ira Franklin and Hattie Bell (McDaniel) Saunders also of Sewell, West Virginia. Irene was preceded in death by three infant sons, John Charles, Steven Preston, and Gene Keith, husband of 58 years, John Kelly, Sr., sisters, Hazel E. Bennett, Martha E. Rowe, and half-brothers and sister, Raymond, Melvin, Thomas, and Minnie Hatcher. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, John Jr. and Dawna Kelly, daughter and son-in-law, Karen D. and Ron Brofford both of Blacklick, grandsons, Jason (Brooke) of Gahanna, Jonathan of Cleveland, and Jeremy (Clare) of Worthington, great grandchildren, Eliza, Stella, Jake, Bo, and Jonas, and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the staff of Emeritus Assisted Living at Chestnut Hill, Acclaim Hospice Service, and special friend, Jessie Morgan. Family will receive family and friends on Thursday, March 22, 2012 from 4-8 P.M. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., where a funeral service will be held at 11:30 A.M.
