My beautiful great grandmother...always dressed to the best...i dont remember this picture but i was there thats me and stevie john standing in the background :)

"MY BIGGEST FAN" has left this Earth to now be "MY BIGGEST ANGEL". I'll be the first one there, sitting in the very front row, with a RED-RED ROSE...singing you quietly to sleep for our last "CONCERT" together. My dear sweet Grandma Irene...Never say Good-bye...Good night.....

Ohhhh grandma where do I begin?!  I love you oh so much!  You were the biggest support that I ever had and will ever be!  Your laugh will continue to ring in my ears every time I hear a Tom Jones song :)  As I sat back and thought last night no one and I mean no one ever had a bad thing to say about you and that shows to person you were and still are!  We defiantly have a beautiful person up their lookin down on us!  I hope your dancing with grandpa enjoying a "drinky drink" as we called them!  You used to sit on the couch and massage my back after skating or volleyball and it's moments like that you were able to talk to me about anything everything, well and joke with me of course!  Every time I bowl I know that you be guiding the way my hand turns!  Please protect my boys and this little one inside me like you always protected me growing up!  Give grandpa a hug and a kiss for me because I can only give air kisses and hugs from down here!  Welp I could go on and on about you but I'll leave the rest to memories made!  I know that there has never been nor ever will be a woman like you!  I love you grandma Irene more than this world!

Irene's husband Don was serving in the U.S. Army in Fort Knox ,Kentucky. Don's uncle Spike was driving his family and Irene down to visit Don at Fort Knox. The fog was making driving slow and dangerous. Uncle Spike was leaning forward to see while striking matches on the windshield to light his ever present cigar. While there Irene purchased uncle Spike a lighter so that he could watch the road more carefully on the way home. While at Fort Knox Aunt Adeline took a picture of four year old little Spike saluting Don with Irene at his side.

When I have thought you thru the years it has always brought a smile and wonder...you were a gift from god and I never got to tell you what you meant to me ...thanks for being there for me and my mother when we needed a friend !

Dearest Doreen--Please accept my sincerest condolences on the loss of your mom.  May God comfort you during this very difficult time of grief.  These words from I Thessalonians 4:13-18 were consoling to me when I lost my father.  "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
