Irene Juliette Wilson

Irene was a Southern girl born in Elizabethton, TN, later moving to Washington, D.C., and finally making Columbus, OH. her permanent home. Irene worked for the FDA, and then became a caretaker. She later retired from Radial. She loved fiercely and some of her favorite things were Westerns, music, decorating, cooking, and doting on her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. On August 10, 2009, she entered into holy matrimony with Mr. Raymond Wilson, Jr. Preceding her in death are her father, Percy Jones, one aunt, Claudia Huff, 5 brothers, Ronald Jones, Kenneth Miller, Donald Jones, Eddie Spencer, and Rodney Spencer; one son, Raymond Wilson III; two grandchildren, Charles and Chelsea Wells. Irene leaves behind to cherish her memories forever, her husband Raymond Wilson, Jr., daughters, Mona-Lisa Merrill, Linda Wells, and Shaunte Reese; two sons, Vondale Wells, Sr. (Janelle), and Zachary Marshall; 14 grandchildren, Naphessa Murray, Denisha Wells, Ryanne Standard, Alexis Wells, Daishia Murray, Shekeyra Wells, Dalevon Wells, Javiera Wells, Rashid Strickland, Daela Wells, Shurek Reese, Vondale Wells, Jr., Kontae Reese, and Victoria Wells; her mother, Anna-Lou Edna Spencer, two brothers, Anthony Jones, and Jeffrey Spencer, one sister, Cecelia Brown (Robert), and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m., with a service commencing at 2:00 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER EAST, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH. 43232.
