Peace Lily was purchased for the family of J. Michael "Mike"  Dolan Jr..

Mr Dolan was a major influence in my life, he was a mentor while growing up and working at Ohio State. You always knew where you stood with him and was probably one of the smartest and most knowledgeable people I have ever met. In my eyes he did more for Ohio State Athletics then any one person. He will be greatly missed but my life was blessed to have known him and i am a better person because of him.  My thoughts and prayers goes out to the entire Dolan Family.

A ready smile and a firm handshake. No job was large or small for Mike. But my favorite memory of him was on Tuesdays and Thursdays when the Athletic Department staff got together at noon for basketball. He was tough as nails. And he drove the lane, look out! No one wanted to guard him, including Eldon Miller, Fred Pagac and Nick Saban. I will miss him.

I had the privilege of working with Mike on the horseshoe renovations for 3 years. I never met a more experienced and knowledgeable man in my life at his profession. Mike was a major reason the huge project was a crowning achievement for The Ohio State University, athletic department and the many vendors and construction companies involved. Mike was the "go to guy" for everyone on the project. That was a big weight on one man's shoulders but Mike made it look easy, as he always had the answer. I cannot even tell you how many times I heard; did you ask Mike, what did Mike say and most of all......does Mike know about this???? And he better have!!!
 
I am extremely proud that I was on hand for the party OSU had for Mike by the Rotunda. It was the unveiling of the plaque placed on the wall entering the Shoe for Mike's years of dedication and hard work. It will hang proudly there for many years to come. I will always fondly remember my friend Mike Dolan! God Bless Mike his grieving family and so many friends.

Mike was my golfing partner, my hero, my mentor, and the older brother I never had.  He taught me so much about human nature, business, and construction, a master class taught by a master!  I will miss him and his mischief forever.

Simply a Wonderful Man who will be missed by so many. He always treated the DeMarys as if they were part of his own family and from the first time I met him to the last time I saw him, he treated me and my children like family as well. I didn't know him nearly as long as Patrick, but I share the same, lasting and profound, respect everyone had for Mike Dolan. From sad times together grieving for both our family's many losses to just as many happy family get togethers, it's hard to imagine any of these events without the wonderful smile, spirit, strength, and joy that Mike Dolan brought to us all. There are simply no words strong enough to express the loss of this Great Man.
