

Jac M. Carpenter, age 85, longtime resident of Medina, Ohio, passed away December 26, 2017. Preceding him in death was his brother, Lt. Nick Carpenter, and ex-wife Janet (McIntosh) Carpenter. Jac is survived by his daughter, Kristi (Dave) Blair; son, David Carpenter; and grandchildren, Tera Blair and Hunter Blair. Jac graduated from Walnut Hills High School and went to Wabash College, where he played football and then transferred to the University of Cincinnati where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Jac served as a Cincinnati player and coach for the police force semi-pro football team. He then became a police officer and later joined the secret service under the Johnson administration. Following that Jac became V.P. of security at Kroger and served as a private security consultant. Jac enjoyed golfing, fishing, football and his dogs. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 5-6pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221.
