James W. Bridges

James W. Bridges, Jr., 84, of Columbus passed away on November 29, 2016 at his residence. Born in Columbus, he was preceded in death by parents James and Mary (Jones) Bridges, Sr. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ann in 2007; sisters Beatrice Nixon, Biatrice Evans, Earlene Hopson, Flossie Lee and Esther Bridges and brother Arthur Bridges.

James worked for many years at Westinghouse, played industrial league fast pitch softball for The Magic Window Cleaners and was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ in God.

He is survived by sons Clint Bridges, Duane Bridges and James (Diana) Bridges III; grandchildren Donja (Rashad) Thomas, Chad (Stephanie) Bridges Shira Bridges and Brandie Bridges; brother Jerome Bridges and sister Alice Conwell.

Visitation will be held at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna at 11AM Saturday, December 10, 2016 to be followed by a memorial service at 12 NOON with Pastor Nehemiah Howard officiating. Private inurnment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ, 1466 Atcheson St., Columbus, OH 43203.
