

James Allen Grinstead Jr., 37, of Grove City, passed peacefully Monday, June 25, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 26, 1975 in Columbus to James and Patricia (Grimes) Grinstead Sr. He was a 1993 graduate of Miller High School, New Lexington, OH. He was an incredible husband, loving father and wonderful son, that loved his family dearly. A strong man that fought hard and lived harder.He was fearless, giving, selfless and loved everybody, he loved riding dirt bikes and four wheelers, deer hunting and NASCAR. He is preceded in death by grandparents Betty Alice and Allen Kay Grinstead, great grandmother Ida F. Grinstead and grandmother-in-law Bernice M. Reeves. Jim is survived by his parents, Kim his loving wife of 14 years, son Zackary, sister Amy (Steven) Herd, mother-in-law Sylvia Clark, father-in-law James K. Knisley, sister-in-law Kristina Knisley, grandfather-in-law Walter H. Reeves, nieces and nephews; Samantha Knisley, Alyssa and Brittany Justice, honorary brothers Scott Justice (nephew) and Shane Julian (cousin), several aunts, uncles and cousins. Special thank you to Dr. Patel and the Pulmonary and Palliative Care Teams at Nationwide Childrens Hospice. Family will receive friends Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM at Glenwood United Methodist Church, 2833 Valleyview Dr. with Rev. Lynn Pease officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
