James Michael "Mike" Mauch

James Michael "Mike" Mauch, age 75, of Gahanna, Ohio passed away on April 4, 2021. He was born March 14, 1946 in Lima Ohio to William and Jacqueline (Rapp) Mauch and graduated from Elida High School in Elida, Ohio, where he ran track and played football. Mike was a very proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Vets Club while attending Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.

After retiring from many years of insurance sales with numerous companies, Mike worked what he called his "fun jobs" at Manheim Auto Auction, Thrifty Car Rental, and Valet Service by the airport. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching sports on television, going to games, and playing golf. Grandpa Mike was very involved with his grandchildren's activities and enjoyed the time he spent at the beach with his wife.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Jacqueline and William Mauch; and brother Randy Mauch. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Lynn Richey Mauch; son Jason (Isa) Mauch; daughters Jennie (Shawn Moran) Mauch and Amy (Don) Rupert Eberhard; brothers Kevin Mauch, David (Connie) Mauch; several aunts, nephews, nieces; and one great-grandchild. He had seven grandchildren that he was very proud of- Brody, Nate, Jackie, Paige, Kriss, Ben, and Aaron.

Family will welcome friends from 1-3 pm Sunday, April 11, 2021 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH. Internment to take place at Union Cemetery.
