James "Jim" McCauley

James T. McCauley, “Fat Boy”, age 74, of Millersport passed away on December 27, 2009. Jim was born on May 8, 1935 in Columbus to the late Carl and Hester McCauley. Jim is also preceded in death by his brother. Jim enjoyed racing whether at the old Powell Speedway or crew chief at Columbus Motor Speedway. Racing for the McCauley’s was a family affair steaming down from his sons and grandsons. Jim also enjoyed woodworking, bowling, fishing and camping. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Peggy; children, Bonnie Adkins, Jim “Jimmy” (Kim) McCauley, Sam (Kyra) McCauley, Tom (Joni) McCauley and Theresa Cumbow; 7 grandchildren, Jason, Zac, Natalie, Nici, Kayla, Patrick and Nathan; 6 great grandchildren, Olivia, Treyden, Taylor, Ethan, Owen and Ian; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 1pm at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230; with visitation starting at 11am till the time of service.
