

James "Art" Morin, Sr. went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the age of 94. He was born in Columbus on July 30, 1920 to the late Charles and Catherine Morin. Art loved the Lord and was a 69 year member of Shepherd Church of the Nazarene in Gahanna. He proudly served his country by joining the U.S. Army during WWII, and retired from Defense Construction Supply Center in 1977 with 30 years of service. Art was a faithful, gentle and caring man who spent time in prayer and daily devotions. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and fishing, but above all else he loved his family. He was a huge blessing to his friends and family and will be truly missed. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Morin; daughter, Sharon Lee Morin; 2 sisters and 1 brother. He is survived by his daughter, Shirley Jean Blair; sons, James A. Morin, Jr., John Mark (Kathy) Morin; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; brother, Bill Morin, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a sincere "thank you" to the staff of the Pataskala Oaks Care Center for the wonderful care and compassion they gave to Art over the years. Friends may call on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 6-8pm at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (at Beecher Rd.), Gahanna. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 10:00am at Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, 425 S. Hamilton, Gahanna, OH. Pastor Rob Paugh officiating.
