James Leslie Morton

James Leslie Morton, 70 of Heath, OH died Saturday, May 4, 2013. He was born May 3, 1943 in Sciotoville, OH to the late Robert and Essie (White) Morton. He was a 1962 graduate of Linden McKinley High School and retired from Ohio Bell/ATandT. He was a Vietnam veteran serving with the U. S. Navy. Jim was a member of Sharon Woods Baptist Church, Linden Lodge #637 and affiliated Masonic Associations and Columbus HAM Radio Club. He was a handyman and enjoyed amateur radio. Jim is preceded in death by his first wife Cheryl and survived by his wife Evelyn, children, Brian Morton, Darin (Heather) Morton and Jenni (Kevin) Shuford, grandchildren Amber Carter, Kevin Shuford Jr., Elizabeth Morton, Michael Morton, Nathan Morton, Ciearra Shuford and Hannah Morton, four great grandchildren, siblings Betty Deeds, Robert Douglas (Jo) Morton Jr., Becky Estep, Jonathan (Sandra) Morton and Joseph (Janis) Morton. Family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. where a funeral service will be held Friday at 10 AM.
