A 1973 graduate of Madison Comprehensive High School, Jim attended Technical College before moving to California, where he lived for 15 years, and worked for the state as an emissions specialist. He liked to tell stories of celebrities and working on their cars. His most memorable client was Michael Jackson and his Rolls Royce.
Upon returning to Ohio, Jim began his 20-year career with Firestone Tire Co. where he was assistant manager and diagnostic technician. Jim was an excellent mechanic; he could repair anything. He had hundreds of tools that he treasured until the end. Jim rebuilt the engine of a 1969 Road Runner after high school which he cherished and was proud.
Jim was an excellent cook and was proud to make his traditional Thanksgiving stuffing including chestnuts. He was proud of his Italian heritage and ability to make delicious meatballs and sauce, just like his mom's and grandmother's.

Reiff of New Jersey and niece, Jessica Carney of Mansfield, along with his devoted friend Debbie Kuhlwein of Columbus. Jim also leaves behind dozens of cousins.
