James E. "Bud" Reed

James E. "Bud" Reed, age 56, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Jim was born on May 4, 1959 in Mt. Vernon, OH. He died after a very long battle with brain cancer. Jim had a successful 20 year career at Liebert Corporation. Jim was a great outdoorsman who loved spending time hunting and fishing. He courageously lived life to the fullest, regardless of the challenges he faced. He will be remembered for his strong, yet kind ways and his warm smile. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Kathleen; daughter, Callie E. Reed; son, James T. Reed and his partner, Tim A. Baden; father, James E. (Mary Jane) Reed, Sr.; mother, Bonnie Winegardner and her partner, Ron Braun; siblings, Terry (Mary) Reed, Michael Reed and Lori (Scott) Mirra; cherished uncle and aunt, Jon (Dreama) Young. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the hospice team of Vicki, Bob and Fred of National Church Residences for their tender and devoted care. Gahanna, where the Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, March, 19, 2015. Chaplain Wayne Wiles officiating. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
