James Lee Summerfield

James Lee "Jim" Summerfield, age 68, died Friday, September 23, 2016 after an extended illness. He was born February 29, 1948 in Columbus Ohio to the late Frank and Ruth (Beavers) Summerfield, Sr. and is also preceded in death by his brothers, Robert "Bob" and Charles Michael Summerfield. Jim is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kathy (Thomas) Summerfield; daughters, Nicole (Trent) Parker, Jamie (Jason) Humphrey, and Mackenzie Summerfield; grandchildren, Presley and Dilynn Parker; brother, Frank (Deanna) Summerfield, Jr., nieces, Renee (Susan) Wadkowski and Sandy Conrad; nephew, Rob (Ivy) Summerfield; and special friend, Snickers. Jim graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School in 1966. He served in the US Navy during Vietnam. Jim was employed by Kimball Midwest. He loved the Buckeyes and the Browns. His family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Monday, September 26 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna where a Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. Glen Francis Fox will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
