Jeanne Hendrix-Miller

Jeanne was a graduate of Glenville H.S. and the former Flora Stone Mather College for Women (Now Case Western Reserve). Jeanne’s career was in modeling before she married John W. Hendrix in 1958. Together, they built the Racquet Club of Columbus on Bethel Rd. Member of Cleveland Skating Club, Scioto Country Club, OSU Faculty Club and Presidents Club, and Duplicate Bridge Clubs.

Jeanne’s life interests included a modeling career in Chicago and Cleveland, competitive tennis player winning many club championships, building a successful business, and her dedication to family. Her outgoing nature and interest in people will be remembered by her many friends.

In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her first husband, John W. Hendrix in 1989; and siblings Robert Opitz 1969, and Elizabeth (Betty) Braggins 1972. Jeanne will be missed by her loving husband of 15 years, Gilbert Miller; sons, Jim (Kim) Hendrix and William (Melissa) Hendrix; and grandchildren, William John Hendrix and Helene Savilla Hendrix.

Family will receive friends Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 2-5 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus, OH. There will be no public services. Private interment at Lake View Cemetery, Cleveland, OH.
