Words just cannot express how much Jeff impacted others.  I remember him and Natalie and the bond they shared.  Jeff could love with the deepest of convictions and gave everything his all.  I remember our lunch time talks.  How he told me about "Take your tractor to school day."  I remember his ability to listen, How he took the time to celebrate your life's little victories.  Jeff made his passion his work.  I deeply admired him.  My prayers and thoughts go out to his family and all his friends and he truly made everyone feel like a friend.

Jeff, I respected you more than you know! You were (are) the consummate professional and ambassador for the Central Ohio endurance community. I was very saddened to hear of Jeff's passing. I am one of the runners who experienced his support and encouragement during my first full marathon in 2008. I was the very last person on the course that year and Jeff was at the finish line waiting for me. I couldn't believe that anyone would have waited but he was there and applauded for me as I crossed the remnants of the line saying, "I knew you were out there and that you would finish." That memory has stayed with me and kept me running to this day. Thank you, Jeff.

As he did with countless others, Jeff helped me run my first marathon. Also, his advice and assistance were vital to our small group in Wooster that started Heart & Sole race. He was an inspiration and a great ambassador for running.

I met Jeff when I joined MIT in 2002. Last year he saw me at a race and still remembered my name.  The running community has lost a champion in every sense of the word.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this very sad time.

I am so surprised to learn of Jeff's passing. Eight years ago I joined MIT and I wanted to learn how to run. Our firsts task was to run two miles. Jeff didn't know me from Adam and jogged the entire way with me and talked to me. He was Always encouraging. I ran my half marathon. I would see him at races he always spoke. Great guy. It came as a shock to me yesterday when I heard of Jeff's passing. He was very inspirational in getting people to run. He once said "I will be there for you, if you decide to do this." I had the opportunity to coach several sessions of MIT.  I watched so many runners flower and grow as they became marathoners (and beyond) and made lifelong friends from my time with MIT. Cannot believe that one of my high school friends has passed at such a young age. We spent many hours running together and just hanging out. He helped my young family when we got married our senior year by writing a nice note to a radio station and won us $200 for Christmas. He always had a heart of love and he will live on in my memories.

Jeff was such a great guy. I didn't even know about MIT when I trained for my one and only marathon in 2005. As tears fell uncontrollably when I crossed the finish line Jeff came up behind me and said "It's ok to cry"..... I got to know him a bit after that when I trained with MIT. He was a huge asset to the running community, he will be missed.

To the family, sorry for your loss.  May friends and love ones provide support and comfort to help ease some of the pain.  John 5:28,29  is very comforting, Jesus said "All those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out" Jehovah God hates death, He views death as an enemy, 1Corinthians 15:26  says: " He will bring the enemy death to nothing" so we have a hope and a promise of seeing our love ones again.

Jeff was an amazing person, encouragement to all, and a visionary. He leaves behind so many friends and an incredible legacy. His absence is profound, and he will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, and many, many friends.
