Jenna Barnett Searcy

Jenna Barnett Searcy was born on July 12, 1991 in Columbus, Ohio and died on June 3, 2019 at the age of 27 years old. She is survived by her husband, Joshua Searcy; parents, Larry and Donna Barnett; sister, Jillian (Max) Lisska; father-in-law, Thomas Searcy; mother-in-law, Jennifer Searcy; grandmother, Helen Sowards; aunts, Audrey Steward and Wilma Hader; uncle, Wayne Hader; aunt Linda and uncle Felix Fermaintt; aunt Rose and uncle Dennis Sowards; aunt Juanita Moultrie, many loving cousins and her beloved dog "Wylieboy".

Jenna graduated from Olentangy High School in 2009 and Otterbein University in 2013. She was an avid reader and loved books. She was a writer as well, chronicling her battle with cancer on her blog "I fight Write Cancer". She was a member of Xenos Church where she met so many loving people who provided her unfailing and dedicated friendship and support. Praise God for all of that love.

She loved having coffee with friends at various shops, going to plays, arts and craft shows, farmers markets, and her old Volvo station-wagon that carried her and many friends to the Carolina beaches.

Jenna was a very strong woman and by living showed innumerable people how to be strong in their faith and simply how to be. Her joyous and caring nature was a blessing she shared with all who knew her.
