Jimmie Lee McDaniel

Jimmie Lee McDaniel, Jr., age 70, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at his home with his son, Kris and nephew, Daniel by his side. Jimmie was born in Monroe, LA on August 2, 1940; he was the son of the late Jimmie and Arine (White) McDaniel. Jimmie was also preceded in death by daughter, Trishella McDaniel; brothers, Arthur White, Thomas White and Taylor White; and sister, Ethel Lewis. He is survived by his children, Kris McDaniel and Loretta McDaniel; grandchildren, Michael, Soren, Kristian, Taryn, Devin and Maxx; ex-wives, Ozella Jennings and Myra McDaniel; brothers, Eugene White and Robert Lee McDaniel; sisters, Lillie Cooks, Isabell Rodney, Cora Washington and Flortha McDaniel; and a host of nieces and nephews. Jimmie was a graduate of McDonald Sr. High School class of 1958 in Monroe, LA. He retired from the City of Columbus after 25 years of service in the Sanitation Department. Jimmie was a member of the Masons and enjoyed working and landscaping. He was well loved and would help anyone. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 5, 2011 from 6-8pm at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204. Graveside services will be on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 11am at Eastlawn Cemetery, 1401 Woodland Ave, Columbus, OH 43219.
