Joan Bennett Seiple

Joan B. Seiple, age 88 of Dublin, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018. Joan was born in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late Oliver and Inez Bennett. Joan graduated from North High School and The Ohio State University where she studied education. She taught 4th grade at Ridgewood Elementary School in Hilliard. Joan was Past President of the COSI Women's Association and was the head of the Junior Sailing Program at Leatherlips Yacht Club. Joan was a strong, graceful, loving, and intelligent woman who had a very witty and clever personality. She was a world traveler who mostly enjoyed her trips to South Africa, England, and her most recent trip at the age of 84 to Peru. In addition, Joan also enjoyed rug punching, punch needle embroidery, sailing, camping, and horseback riding. She will be greatly missed by her beloved husband of 67 years, Charles Richard Seiple; loving children, Susan (Bill) Sabo, Linda King, and David (Ginger) Seiple; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Ann (Grant) Cooke; best friend and sister-in-law, Joan Marilyn Seiple; and many other extended family members and dear friends. A memorial service celebrating Joan's life will be held at 2 P.M., Sunday, November 25, 2018 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd.
