

By the time she was three, she was speaking three languages- English, Spanish, and Hebrew. Her aptitude for learning continued all the way through high school, where she graduated near the top of her class. She competed in gymnastics throughout her youth, including appearances at national meets. She was also an avid soccer player in high school and college.
She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Penn State University with a degree in integrative arts. She ultimately became a Senior Designer at Abercrombie & Fitch, where she supervised and mentored a design team.
After moving to Columbus, Ohio, she tried a new dating technology called eHarmony, where she met her husband Jason R. Ramage. They were engaged in Switzerland and married in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Joanna had a unique ability to make friends and keep them for life. She enjoyed travel, photography, graphic design, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
She was beautiful and brave. She was a treasure to those that knew her.
She will be sorely missed by her husband of eight years, Jason R. Ramage; her parents, James S. and Deena (Shur) Ultman; and her sisters, Shari (Jens Harlander) Ultman and Suzy (Brian Deever) Ultman.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life with a funeral service at 2pm Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 North High Street, with David Maynard officiating. Burial will follow at Blendon Central Cemetery.
