John was a compassionate, thoughtful and gentle soul, who leaves his brother Gene (Paula) Brock, sister Kimberly (Alan) Griffiths, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends and coworkers.
John graduated from Columbus State with a degree in Social Work and was employed with Concord Counseling. With his sensitive ways, he was able to help facilitate his clients' abilities to acclimate themselves in becoming productive individuals. John was a patient listener and used his natural empathetic talents to showcase other people's strengths and to help improve their lives.
John had a love of animals and the outdoors, walking miles daily with his beloved beagles, Max and Winnie who were always by his side.
John had a creative mind and had written and composed his own music; he started his own disc jockey company where he used his musical ear to entertain others. John was a creative film maker as well. He was always with his camera or movie projector, looking for opportunities to capture life's special moments, using those moments in time to create short films for the viewing pleasure of his family.
John is preceded by his parents, Gene and Sandra Brock and life-partner, Jay Katzeman.
John will be sadly missed; his family asks for prayers and any gifts to monetize John's passion for animals through PETA, or the Franklin County Animal Shelter.
Advantage by Schoedinger North has been entrusted with his private cremation arrangements.
