

John Joseph Huber, age 84, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2010. John was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Edward and Mary Huber. He grew up in Marion, Ohio and graduated from St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1943. Following high school, John went onto serve his country proudly as a U.S. Navy Seabees, WWII Veteran. He served 4 months as a Catholic missionary in New Guinea and also attended John Carroll University. During his adult years, John made Columbus, Ohio his home and most recently he was a resident of The Abbington Community, Pickerington. A very generous man, John loved anytime that he was able to spoil his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed taking family vacations, especially to the mountains, but most of all, it was his grandchildren which brought him the most joy. Preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Frank, Reverend Robert “Bob”, and Reverend William “Bill”. He is survived by his loving children, Gary, Edward (Judy), and Diane (Don) Reese; grandchildren, Beth, Joe, Tom, Jim, Kathy, Becky, Jon, Jennifer, Jody, Justin, and Jeremy; 20 great grandchildren; siblings, Peter “Pete” (Joan), Brother Richard Lynn CSC, and Mary Anne; loving family member, Jane; sisters-in-law, Mary Kaye and Mary Joan; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Mass of Christian Burial, 10 A.M. Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Our Lady of Miraculous Medal, 5225 Refugee Rd. Family will receive friends from 7-9 P.M. Friday at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Graveside services will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 763 Delaware Ave., Marion, Ohio.
