John Gerhard Karst

John was a 1996 graduate from Gahanna Lincoln High School. He began his 22-year profession as a mason for Karst Sons Masonry, and advanced into management, working alongside his father as a third generation estimator. He enjoyed being involved in projects from start to finish and took great pride in his work.

When he was not working, he enjoyed OSU football, gardening, home remodeling, antiquing and collecting, spending time with family and friends, dining out, playing with his dogs and traveling to the Dominican Republic.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Jessica Karst; parents, John and Barbara Karst; and siblings, Lisa and Andrew Karst.

Family will receive friends on Thursday July 19, 2018 from 5-8pm at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. A service will be held on Friday July 20, 2018 at 10am at Peace Lutheran Church, 455 Clark State Rd, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. Interment to follow at Headley Cemetery, Blacklick, Ohio
