

John A. Neague, 68, of Columbus, passed away on June 28, 2018. He was born in Massillon, Ohio, on November 12, 1949, to John and Ann (Volk) Neague. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by step-father, Gene Legge, Mary and John Bartko, and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
John enjoyed collecting coins, bowling, visiting area casinos, Massillon Tiger football, and Ohio State football. He also enjoyed gardening, especially planting flowers and sending arrangements to special friends and family.
John attended Central Catholic High School in Massillon, Ohio. His college years were spent at Bowling Green State University and Ohio State University. He worked as an accountant for Job and Family Services for over 30 years. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Job and Family Services Credit union for many years.
Surviving John are his children, Jennifer Testa, Jonathan Neague, and Brian Neague. John is also survived by his grandchildren, Harmony Testa, Michael Neague, Hunter Testa, and Failth Testa. And finally, by his sister, Georgenea Legge, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Memorial Service celebrating John’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at the Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 North High Street. Memorials in John’s honor may be made to St. Jude.
