

John Louis Rife, age 33 of Grove City, passed away Friday, June 24, 2011 after a courageous battle with leukemia. John was born in Rochester, Pennsylvania, youngest son of Daniel and Jinny Rife. He grew up in Akron, Ohio and graduated from North High School. John proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an air traffic controller at Quantico, Virginia. After leaving the military, he enrolled at Ohio State University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree for Integrated Social Studies in March 2011. He was looking forward to continuing his education and becoming a high school teacher. He possessed a strong faith in God, was a loyal friend, loving husband and caring son and uncle. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Nicole; parents, Daniel and Jinny; siblings, David, Tammy, and Tracy; 4 nieces; 2 nephews; maternal grandmother; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and dear friends. A Celebration of John’s Life will be held at 7 P.M. Thursday, June 30, 2011 at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, where family will receive friends from 5 P.M. until time of service.
