John R. Shau, age 82, of Ashville, OH, died Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. He was born on Oct. 20, 1934 in Prairie Township, Ohio son of the late George W. and Elda (McManaway) Shau.. John retired as a truck driver with Anderson Concrete Co. following 33 years of service. He is survived by his daughter, Deborah (Ernie) Meadows and Dianna (Lundy) Baker; son, James (Tara) Miller; 5 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; loving companion of 18 years, Betty Sanders and her beloved family. Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by wife Betty Jo Shau and daughter Denise A. Shau. He was a member of the local Teamsters Retirees # 284 and veteran U.S Naval Reserve.
